Welcome to the LTC Info Web Site!


LTC Info is an on-line long-term care information and reference service for those practicing and working in the long-term care spectrum (subacute and transitional care, Skilled Nursing facilities, residential nursing facilities, Assisted Living, and other related programs and services). Its goal is to promote better clinical practice and care delivery systems as a way to improve care, regulatory compliance, and business outcomes. It is also a reference site for physicians serving as attending physicians and medical directors in these programs and settings.

Profile

Steven Levenson, M.D. is a nationally recognized  physician leader, practitioner, author, and educator  in long-term and subacute care. He is one of the originators of modern long-term medical direction, and has authored standard references in both medical direction and subacute care. His scope of experience covers the continuum of care of the elderly and those with chronic illnesses and disabilities, including traditional long-term care, postacute care, Assisted Living, and Day Care. He is a resource to many federal and state agencies. Since 1986, he has helped develop many of the programs and educational materials for the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA). He has received many awards, including the 1998 Pattee Excellence in Education Award from AMDA. With over 20 years of hands-on experience and a broad range of unique publications, he provides information based on real-life situations, grounded in solid geriatrics information and experience in establishing and improving care delivery systems.
